We ate, toasted Marshmallows on the fire, read, walked in the field, watched DVD’s and relaxed completely. 
I kept wondering why it felt so wonderful, well obviously I have my two gorgeous children but I realized that it was so special because it represents the end of so much waiting.
I am not waiting for, police checks, financials, health assessments or social worker visits. I am not waiting to have documents translated, notarized, authenticated, checked, couriered, tracked, assessed, and approved. I am not waiting for the department to ring to tell me that we have been approved, accepted, allocated. Nor am I waiting for the first court hearing, the first decree, the final decree, the call to travel. We are no longer waiting in airports, in transit, in Hong Kong, in Taiwan. 
I feel liberated and wonderfully, blissfully happy!!! We are done. Well, we have a few little things to complete here over the next 10 months with the department but they are all bearable. We applied to ICAS 7 years ago to adopt our first beautiful baby and now at last we are finished. 
I still find it hard to believe that I am actually a Mummy, a Mummy to two such lovely children. It really is a miracle and I am so very grateful that I am theirs, and they are mine. How lucky I am!To all the Mummy's I know (including those who have fur-babies!!) I hope you had a really happy day!
