The day started verrrry early, with one super excited boy waking, surprised that he was in our bed, having evidently sleep-walked his way in the small hours. It should be noted that he had been awake, in anticipation, until almost 11pm the night before!
Let me tell you I was working on adrenaline all day too!
We had a spidey theme going. Not the man - you probably know my aversion to Licenced products - but the good old Aussie redback! Can you see them? You may have to click on the image to get a closer look!
Spider-clad honey joys
The sundae toppings.
Pin the fly on the web - closest to spidey the winner!
I found these cute sparkler candles which, when lit, emitted random, pretty flashes and seemed to be super-flames ignoring, for a long time, Tiggy's valiant huffing and puffing.
Fun with his buddies.
Woo was much more interested in her new baby cousin!
Huffing and puffing.
We gave quiet thanks to you birthmother for her brave and loving plan for you. You wanted to light your prayer candle and say a say a prayer for her. I was all teary eyed and nervous as to what you might say. It went like this:
"Dear Lord, Please pray for St Paul and for our parish priest ... Amen "
Not a mention of anything that may make me tear up, except with laughter! Darling Tigs, you are certainly being indoctrinated in the Catholic faith, but you do make me laugh.
You were such a trooper with no sleep! You were gracious and kind to your friends and it was a joy to see you enjoy your party so much. It was a pleasure to make it a special day for you. We can hardly believe you are six now. It seems so grown-up.
I hope all your wishes come true, my love.
