oops I did it again ...

I had a little accident on my leg. Yep, that leg.

Some of you are probably gasping, some are cringing, some of you are possibly wincing with former knowledge as to what this could mean. I'm afraid for these readers your guess will be correct. Sorry! Thank heavens it's not quite as dramatic as earlier efforts, but I'm not walking, leg elevated and a visit to hospital again tomorrow.

Luckily there will be some of you who don't really know just what that could mean and I'm not about to elaborate here on my pretty little blog. Believe me you'll be better off for having less information.

Suffice to say these are my closest friends at the moment.

And now lets quickly change the subject ...

Woo's first ever face painting. She is her Daddy's little princess, so it was only fitting she have a little tiara!

And darling Tiggy, who kept up the record by not having his face painted.

P.s. I'm alright Mummy. Promise!

little extras

Having made my first shop sale I decided it would be nice to include a special little extra.
I hope the recipient likes both the hair bows and the set of gift tags I made using vintage music sheet butterflies
and cotton twine for hangers held around a miniture peg.

While changing Woo's sheets I noticed how pretty her bedding and jammies looked piled in a heap on the edge of the cot. The blankets were mine (and probably Flossy's), then Tig's and now Woo's. They were hand knitted by my grandmothers. I love that they've kept us all warm and snug.

making

I bought some special transfer paper and got busy with my printer a couple of days ago. I am SO pleased with the way it works. I'll put them in the wash, with fingers crossed, and if the prints remain as they are here, you'll find them in the shop. I'm excited, in spite of being stricken with gastro, as has Woo. Poor little girl, she's so unwell, bless her.

See the little button that says "visit my made it shop"?

Yup, that's it.

Well ... if you click it you'll find yourself in a world of handmade goodies - handmade by ME!!

I did it!  At loooong last. In my own time. Gently, gently.  I got it going.

Classic Hair Bows anyone?

And in case you're struggling with the 'button' you can just try here.

wuff-oo

Some early morning sibling love between my beautiful babes. They were sitting peacefully side by side, watching the box, secure in each other's company and sharing the moment. I'm so glad I caught them. It will be a good mental image to have in those moments when they are not enjoying each other.

I ended up disturbing them and then asked them to blow a kiss for their Great-grandaddy, who Woo has yet to meet. He is 90 today!

Happy Birthday Davidad! We love you and wish we were with you to celebrate such an important day. We hope it's been fun to have so many family and friends around you. E x

round here

admiring the most exquisite vintage find.  it's brand new (albeit very old), complete with it's paper label glued on the back.
i love the birds and the foliage and am thinking of some way to keep this lovely design alive.

sideboard piled with bows in varying stages of completion

sweet babes 4pm, "cuddling spotty" the fish, through the outside of the tank.
one still in 'jamies and the other in every colour of the rainbow, hence the black + white image - it was just too awful for words.
notice the swimsuit over the top? how could you not!
